Day Care Centre Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the provision of a care management and maintenance service in Nethercross Day Care Centre, Tolka Valley.


Duties include:
  • Day to day management of the Centre for the benefit of local residents and the wider community

  • Identify and pursue initiatives that support the activities of the Centre

  • Develop a programme of activities for the Centre

  • Liaise with the HSE and other agencies as appropriate in the development of a programme for the clients of the service

  • Manage staff and support systems

  • Develop and maintain liaison structures for the residents of the complex and the users of the service

Childcare Leader (Maternity Leave Cover)

Duties include:
  • To work within the ethos of Respond!

  • Comply fully with all statutory regulations

  • Ensure the welfare of the children

  • Where appropriate provide hot healthy meals

  • Promote and encourage effective parental involvement

  • Ensure that hygiene and safety standards are maintained and established

  • Carry out regular fire drills

  • Promote the services in the local community and target users from the most marginalised sections of the community

  • Participate in training programmes when required

  • Organise and participate in any fundraising initiatives for the benefit of the service

  • Participate in reviews and evaluations of the service along with other staff and the management committee

  • Provide ongoing support to all staff members

  • Attend team meetings and also liaise with members of the management team on a regular basis

Childcare Assistant (Mallow, Co Cork)

Duties include:
  • Ensure the welfare of the children attending the service

  • To carefully supervise and keep close contact with all children

  • To make sure that the childcare service is clean, tidy and safe

  • To provide planned, structured and age appropriate activities for all children

  • To encourage independence within all children

  • To foster the growth of self-esteem within all children

  • To assist in providing healthy snacks which meet the growing needs of children

  • To liaise with parents, public health services and local community

  • Promote and encourage effective parental involvement

  • Promote the services in the local community and target users from the most marginalised sections of the community

  • Organise and participate in any fundraising initiatives

  • Any other relevant duties as may be required from time to time
