Cathy Lanigan

Cathy Lanigan is Research & Development Manager with Respond!. Having completed a B.Soc.Sc. in UCD and post-graduate study in Paris X, DCU and NUIM. Cathy initially worked in social work, then undertook freelance social research, prior to joining Respond! as its first Education Officer in 1992. Since then, Cathy has worked in education, estate management, community development, and research roles within Respond!. She helped design and develop the BSS in Housing & Community Studies. Currently she heads up Respond!’s R&D Unit providing evidence-based research to inform Respond!’s policy and practice and to contribute to ‘good/best practice’ standards and policy debate.
