Respond! Elderly Accommodation

Housing for elderly people constituted the very first housing scheme Respond! ever provided in Francis Court, Waterford. Many more have followed in the past 25 years as we are very consious of the needs of elderly people living in the community. Our policy is to integrate sheltered housing for elderly persons within complexes or estates also designed for families; such a situation benefits all parties (once proper attention is paid to the ongoing supportive assistance required). Accordingly, most of our family rental schemes also have sheltered accommodation for elderly persons included. Our flagship of integration for elderly people is our regeneration scheme in Blackpool, Cork which contains sheltered units of accommodation for elderly persons, 14 for COPE Disabled persons and 12 for families; with the supporting facilities of a fully equipped daycare centre.
