A pilot project, Elanora Court, located in Dublin, Long Mile Road, is at the forefront of passive communities, raising the standard of tenant engagement. Respond focused on a CES model, prioritising local decision-making, active stakeholder engagement, and community empowerment to ensure the success of the development for many years to come.
Elanora Court, which was completed in December 2023, provides 153 lifetime homes for 311 Respond tenants: a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes along with one studio apartment. The homes have been funded by a combination of private finance from the Housing Finance Agency and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
The development is one of many large Respond sites, with a Tenant Relations Officer, Community Support Worker and Caretaker on site to attend to tenants needs.
Niamh Randall, Spokesperson for Respond said:
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for our efforts in creating a strong and empowering community at Elanora Court. It’s a testament to our staff who dedicate their time and recourses into the development.
“We are proud of the strong working relationship we have with Dublin City Council, enabling us to deliver these 153 lifetime homes for families and individuals who need them. The tenants who are living in these homes have already become part of the community here and we hope they are very happy.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support from our partners, including the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, the Housing Finance Agency and The Housing Agency.”
