Senior Architect, Design Lead.
Frances is a Chartered Architect with over 30 years’ experience working with top tier public and private bodies. Having joined Respond in 2021, Frances `s principal remit is as Senior Architect, Design Lead on Respond’s Public Works Contracts tasked too ensure the design and delivery all PWC projects in line with statutory compliance, best practice and company ethos. Frances assist`s the Head of Development in the delivery of the Respond housing development programme. Frances is tasked with drafting the Respond Design Guide , in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and Levitt Bernstein Architects, and in line with Respond`s strategic and design vision for place making and quality housing as part of a vibrant caring communities.
Frances has over 30 years’ experience working in the design and development of major infrastructural and residential design projects as well as acting as senior project manager on significant capital projects, coordinating design teams on complex urban renewal schemes in Dublin City Council up to €150 m. Frances is a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI). She has lectured in the ATU school of Architecture in Sligo, and is an invited assessor for the Architects Registered Admission Examination. Experience in leading professional multidisciplinary teams and taking a strategic approach, she has significant experience in the master planning and delivery of large scale residential projects for local authorities.
Frances has worked for Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, and ATU school of Architecture in Sligo, Irish Water and Ferreira Architects. Frances has knowledge of sustainability issues, having studied Green Building Solutions in OED International School, University of Vienna. Frances secured a media award from Comhar, and subsequently published articles based on her research in the Sunday Business Post, the Irish Times, and the Medical Times.
