A community information morning was held on Thursday 10th of September in Ard An Ghleanna Community Centre for the Tramore area. The morning was organised by Respond staff to promote the services and educational opportunities available to residents in the locality. Jen representing Tusla remarked that it was a fantastic idea to have so many groups present.
Caroline Haran, Resident Support Worker felt that this was an “….excellent opportunity for stakeholders and services to network as well raising awareness among the community of the wealth of services and supports available to them”
Information was available on the day from various organisations operating in Tramore and surrounds including ETB (Adult and Community Education), Regional Career Guidance Service, Women’s Group & Healthy Cookery Group, Foroige Youth Club, Wolfpack, Activate and Fusion Youth Club, Social Inclusion & Community Activation Programme & Public Participation Network, TYRE Project, MABS, Tramore Library, TUSLA – Prevention Partnership and Family Support, Community Services Representative, the County Childcare Committee and Respond Level 6 Certificate in Community Studies.
