Respond welcomes 35 new tenants to their forever homes at La Touche Park, Kilcullen

Kilcullen is home to 15 social homes

Respond, one of Ireland’s largest construction-led Approved Housing Bodies and service providers, is delighted to welcome 35 tenants into new social homes at La Touche Park, Kilcullen, Co. Kildare.

Kilcullen is home to 15 social homes:

  • 4 3-bedroom semi-detached houses
  • 7 2-bedroom mid-terrace houses
  • 4 1-bedroom duplex apartments

Tenant Experience

All homes are designed and built to high-quality, sustainable standards, achieving an A-rated BER to improve energy efficiency and helping reduce household running costs.

The 1.1-acre site is located just north of Kilcullen town centre and is approximately a 1.4km walk from the main street, which offers a range of cafes, restaurants and shops. The area is also home to local GAA and soccer clubs in the area, providing opportunities for children and families to engage in community life.

The estate is within a 10-minute drive of both local primary and secondary schools, and is conveniently located close to key services, including Naas General Hospital and Newbridge Primary Care. Naas, Newbridge and Kildare town are all within a 15-minute drive, ensuring tenants have easy access to a wide range of local amenities.

Grainne Vickers, a tenant who moved in prior to Christmas said, “I was so lucky to receive keys to my beautiful new home just before Christmas. I’m settling in now and really looking forward to spring. Thanks so much to Respond.”

These homes were delivered through a combination of funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage through the Capital Advance Leasing Facility (CALF), alongside finance from the Housing Finance Agency. Construction was led by Sayvale 21 Limited and Jem Construction.

A Growing National Pipeline

Respond currently provides homes for over 20,000 people in more than 9,000 homes across Ireland. The organisation has approximately 3,500 homes under construction, as it accelerates delivery of social and cost rental housing across Ireland.
